Job Description
Our Retirement Solutions division seeks an experienced Technical Business Systems Analyst to join their implementations team. LRS Retirement Solutions develops and implements PensionGold, a pension administration software for retirement systems in the defined benefits retirement market segment. Our Technical Business Systems Analysts have a vital role in understanding each customer’s unique business processes and how they drive the configuration and customization of our PensionGold software. The Technical Business Systems Analysts are a key resource for our implementations team and act as subject matter experts on multiple platforms the group uses.
You may be based at our corporate headquarters in Springfield, Illinois, in most of our LRS North America locations, or home-based for the right candidate. As a Technical Business Systems Analyst, you receive a base salary and are eligible for overtime pay, including any travel time, as part of an implementation project. Responsibilities
- Develop a thorough understanding of our PensionGold software products, including their functionality and complex business processes. Acquire a detailed understanding of pension administration processes that drive business decisions and required customizations to our software product.
- Demonstrate a creative, logical, and analytical approach to problem-solving and develop a good working relationship with internal and external customer resources.
- Identify and understand our customer’s requirements and convert those requirements into detailed design documents describing the configuration or customization required in our PensionGold software products.
- Understand our customers’ defined benefit plan rules, practices, processes, and legacy applications to prepare technical designs for customizing our product.
- Engage in process-related discussions with the customer, team leader, developers, and business analysts in a clear, understandable, and precise manner. The ability to explain difficult or complex concepts and/or information to people ranging from end-users to technical developers is very important.
- Coordinate and support the development of PensionGold software by creating and managing high-quality business requirements and design specifications. Continuously review requirements to ensure software conforms to standards and suggest modifications as needed.
- Develop, modify, and test complex business processes using our business process modeler tools.
- Create and document test plans/cases and execute scenarios using written and implied requirements.
- Perform debugging and unit testing of business processes in our software and continuously maintain and update plans during all implementation phases.
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure the solution addresses business requirements within the capabilities of the PensionGold software.
- Resolve problem incident reports during testing by analyzing the reported problem, determining the appropriate corrective action, and making the necessary changes to the design documents.
Applicant Requirements:
- You must have at least five years of Business Analyst experience performing analysis and design as part of an application development project or software implementation team.
- You must have at least four years of experience creating or modifying SQL Server scripts. You must be able to write database queries and have a solid understanding of database structures.
- You must have at least four years of experience in software development.
- You must effectively communicate in English (written and verbal). You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with our business owners, customers, and team members.
- Familiarity with implementing a COTS solution to meet specific customer requirements is a plus.
- Previous experience working with retirement system software or custom software development is a plus.
- Experience using a diagramming or flowcharting tool, like Microsoft Visio software, will make you a stronger candidate.
- You must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer. Visa sponsorships are not available.
Travel and Compensation:
There is minimal required travel during the work week, 10 to 25 percent at peak times during an implementation project, all within the United States.
Organization Structure and Interfaces:
The LRS Retirement Solutions group is one of several groups within LRS. The Vice President manages it. Managers over Implementations, Product Development, Product Support, and Sales report directly to the Vice President. You will be a member of the Implementations team and will report to a manager. You will interact with members of your team, other employees, and customers. A typical implementation project team consists of 5-6 key resources supplemented by other resources to meet the project's needs.

Salary range - $60 - 105k. This salary range represents the low and high end for this position. The salary will vary depending on factors including experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of LRS’ total employee compensation package.
