We are in need of experienced Business Systems Analysts who are capable of quickly understanding an organization?s business and their processes, then translating those processes into technical designs for software developers. We are looking for Business Systems Analysts who want to join our Implementations team in our LRS Retirement Solutions group. We're Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. LRS Retirement Solutions develops and implements pension administration software for retirement systems in the defined-benefits retirement market segment. Our Business Systems Analysts have a vital role in understanding each customer's unique business processes and how those processes drive the configuration and customization of our PensionGold software. A typical Implementations project team consists of 5-6 key resources and is supplemented by other resources to meet the needs of the customer. The Business Systems Analysts within LRS Retirement Solutions are a key resource for our Implementations team and participate in the following project activities: Understand the customer's defined benefit plan rules, practices and processes and be able to apply that knowledge when preparing technical designs for customizing our product. Interview/question customers to gain a detailed understanding of their requirements. Analyze the requirements to determine how they can be provided by the product or the product can be customized to meet the requirements. Create detailed design documents identifying the customization required to the product. Develop, modify and test complex business processes using our business process modeler tools Perform debugging and unit testing of business processes in our software. Collaborate with project team members to ensure solution addresses business requirements. Resolve problem incident reports during testing by analyzing the reported problem, determining the appropriate corrective action, and making the necessary changes to the design documents. In-depth training will be provided to the successful candidate on our products and our modeling tools. This position allows for the flexibility to work remotely as home-based employee or from any of our LRS North American locations. Additionally, we offer flexible work schedules and casual dress work environment. You can expect to travel during the work week up to 25 to 50 percent at peak times during an implementation project, all within the United States. With customers across the U.S., we often travel on one of our corporate jets, if based out of Springfield, IL. As a Business Systems Analyst you receive a base salary and you are eligible for overtime pay, which includes any travel time as part of an implementation project. Applicant Requirements: You must have three years' experience performing analysis and design as part of an application development project or product development team. You must have three year's experience converting requirements into detailed design documents and/or logical steps for code development. Experience using a diagramming or flowcharting tool, like Microsoft Visio software, is preferred. You must have three years' experience working directly with customers in resolving complex problems and identifying solutions. You must have an understanding of database structures and writing moderate SQL queries. You must have experience using technology tools including, but not limited to Microsoft Team Foundation Server, SQL, and source code management. You must have prior experience with software development and/or configuration. You must be able to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal). You must have two years' experience resolving complex problems and identifying solutions. You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members. You must have the ability to successfully work in a team environment with multiple team members and the ability to multi-task. Familiarity with integrating COTS and custom software as part of an enterprise software solution is a plus. If you have previous experience working with retirement systems, software development and software products, you are an ideal candidate. Success Keys: A successful Business Systems Analyst will need to develop a thorough understanding of the PensionGold software products, including their functionality., and the most complex business processes. You will need to clearly identify and understand a customer's requirements and convert those requirements into detail design documents describing the configuration or customization required in our products. You should be able to demonstrate a creative logical and analytical approach to problem solving. You will need to develop a good working relationship with internal resources (i.e. your supervisor, project managers, retirement systems specialists and developers) and external customer resources. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills. You must be able to acquire a detailed understanding of pension administration processes that drive business decisions and required customizations to our software product. You must be able to engage in process-related discussion with the customer, team leader, developers, and Business Systems Analysts in a clear, understandable, and precise manner. The ability to explain difficult or complex concepts and/or information to people ranging from end-users to technical developers is very important. (LRS) has an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Implementaions team in our LRS Retirement Solutions group to manage implementations of our PensionGold® software products for public sector retirement systems with defined benefits pension plans. LRS is a global leader in information technology solutions known for the way we value each individual we hire. LRS Retirement Solutions develops and implements pension administration software for retirement systems in the defined benefits retirement market segment. Our Project Managers have a vital role in working with the customer to ensure our projects are completed on time and within budget. As a Project Manager within LRS Retirement Solutions, you will be expected to lead your team of Business Analysts, Developers and other resources to successfully implement our PensionGold product for our customers. Project Managers are key resources who are involved in all facets of our implementation projects. We expect our Project Manager to be “hands-on” with the implementation activities. You will be involved from the project beginning through completion of the customer’s warranty. A core project team generally consists of 5-6 resources with other resources involved as needed. Our implementation projects can last from 18-36 months and the project manager often will be managing 1-3 projects at the same time, depending on the size of the projects. Your specific responsibilities will include: Ongoing interaction with customers including executives, pension administrations staff, their project oversight vendor and potentially Board members Providing ongoing status reports and making presentations Creating and executing work plans within Microsoft Project Updating the plan as required to manage resources and project tasks Managing project scope, budget and timeline Creating, reviewing and managing project deliverables Identifing risks and developing plans to mitigate the risks Handling change management throughout the project lifecycle Managing project team resources, providing direction and supporting the project team Effectively communicating with local and offsite team resources as well as client resources Tracking and reporting project team hours and project progress using Microsoft Project and Project Server Facilitating requirements confirmation or requirements gathering sessions Other activites needed to facilitate a successful completion of the project These activities would be accomplished through working onsite, conference calls, and web conferencing with our customers across the U.S. Candidates can be based at one of our Corporate offices across the U.S., and home-based candidates will be considered. Travel requirements fall into the category of doing whatever is needed to make our projects successful. Generally travel for this position will be 25% to 50% and travel will typically occur on weekdays. Weekend travel is unusual for this position. Performance Objectives: Understand the business: Within one month, have a general understanding of the pension administration market segment, the general terminology, and the business implications of our software. You should be able to explain that knowledge to your manager. Understand the PensionGold product/services line: Within three months, be able to demonstrate navigation through the product and provide an overview of the high-level product functionality to your manager. Understand the project implementation methodology: Within three months, demonstrate an understanding of the PensionGold implementation process by creating and maintaining tasks within a project plan. Acquire internal project management experience: During your first six months, provide assistance to an existing Project Manager and develop your product knowledge such that you can manage your own projects. Execute/manage PensionGold implementation projects: After six months, be capable of successfully managing your own implementation project while continuing to develop your product knowledge. Manage project deliverables: Monitor and maintain all project deliverables within the tools provided. Report project status: Provide weekly or bi-weekly project status reports to management denoting project statistics, progress and issues or risks. Meet with senior management to discuss project progress, challenges and risks. Applicant Requirements: You must have at least four years of demonstrable project management experience in large application development/implementations projects or managing a project management office. You must have at least five years of experience managing technical and business personnel on a project team. You must have experience in the information technology area specifically related to defining business requirements, or leading application development projects or software implementation projects. You must have experience using Microsoft’s standard office tools along with Microsoft Project and Visio. A Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is required, or you will need to acquire one within 6 months. You must have the ability to effectively negotiate fair resolutions to issues. Your ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and in written form) with people ranging from executive directors to technical developers will be instrumental in your success. To demonstrate these skills, you must have experience understanding complex technical concepts and explaining them using simple terminology. You must have experience writing business communications (letters, e-mails, formal proposals, etc.) and documenting business requirements. You must have experience making formal presentations to a live audience consisting of technical and non-technical people. Project Managers interact with a wide variety of technical and business people at varying levels of the organization. A major key to your success is your ability to manage your project teams to complete software implementation projects, 1) on time, 2) within budget and 3) with satisfied customers. Your ability to demonstrate team leadership skills over the project duration will assist you in being successful. Knowledge in the pension administration market sector would be a significant plus.
